logging

Base camp on the woods line laid out along the bypass spur just across the Pelton long trestle.  In the distance is the beginning of the un harvested timber in the woods.  The dining hall is at the right next to the wind mill and on the other side of the mill is the warehouse and the connection to the bypass spur and the woods line.  This is just a temporary arrangement until the scenery is done in the woods and the foothills.

The area is just getting set up for logging operations.  The base camp carpenters are working on completion of the cabins for the fellers and other loggers to move in so woods operations can begin.  There is no mill in the area so all logs will be hauled to
the harbor and rafted to the mill.

There are more on the far ridge and around and to the right in this next photo.  This is actually a test fitting to see how dense the trees needed to be to be. If you look closely, the backdrop has not been painted in this photo.

backdrop is finished thanks to one of the guys in our club that is a very talented artist.  You can also see the new steel trestle behind the brown glue bottle.

Here is the start of the woods and the switchback heading up to the ridgeline.  I am thinking of adding a spar tree and a staging track up at the ridgeline and behind the backdrop.
